MyPress Rosin Press

“No more sore shoulders and wrists or burnt fingers from pressing with a hair straightener.”

The MyPress Rosin Press is a portable, lightweight, and personal rosin press designed from scratch in Colorado. Our custom 3×3 stainless steel Axiom plates deliver even heat across the plates. MyPress has an easy-to-read, operator-friendly LCD interface with a simple button layout. Easily set and apply heat to the stainless steel plates with temperatures ranging from 100° to 250° Fahrenheit (37°C – 121°C).

The MyPress Rosin Press features a count-up timer, which halts counting when opened and resets from zero when closed again, which helps you efficiently monitor your process, and fine-tune your adjustments to realize the best yield or finest flavors. This proprietary functionality allows you to record and track your best results for later. While the quality of your material directly influences your results, will maximize your material’s potential. The MyPress Rosin Press is easy to use and requires only gentle pressure to close and lock the plates. Rosin Press FAQ

How long should I press rosin?

Generally speaking, pressing for 60 to 90 seconds at 220 degrees Fahrenheit should do the job, though some materials will want more time. As home extraction is as much an art as it is a science when you first begin to press you will go through a period of trial and error, during which you will fine-tune your results to produce the perfect result for your needs. Remember to record your pressing time, temperature, the material used, and any other relevant factors with each trial.

How do I use this rosin press?

You will need five things:

  • MyPress Solventless Rosin Press
  • Flower (1 to 1.5 grams per press is optimal)
  • Parchment Paper
  • Rosin Collecting Tool
  • Pollen Press

Using the press is as easy as following these five steps:

Step 1: Prepare Parchment Paper

Simply cut a piece of parchment paper approximately 4” wide and 7”-8” long. Next, fold the paper in half so it’s the shape of a square. You may find that the parchment paper reaches past the edges of the plates. This is fine, and not to be worried about. In fact, it will help keep the pressing surface free of oil.

Step 2: Plug in and Set the Heat

It will take MyPress between six and twelve minutes to heat up completely, depending on your desired temperature. The heat setting you use will be determined by the type and quality of material you are pressing. For example:

  • The fresh, cured flower is pressed most efficiently at 190 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Powder and denser materials tend to do better at 160 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit
  • The dated or lower-quality plant needs to be pressed at 220+ degrees Fahrenheit

Step 3: Pre-Puck Your Material

Pre-pucking with a pollen press is a vital step as it concentrates your material into small pucks that will maximize your yield. It is NOT necessary to form your pucks densely and can limit your yields if they are packed too tightly.

The beauty of the pollen press is that it molds the material into uniformly shaped, lightly compacted pucks that allow you to apply even pressure. These compacted pucks also work to prevent the escape of small particulates into the oil. Pre-pucked material also allows you to press flowers without the use of a filter bag.

Step 4: Press

Allow the upper plate to apply its own weight to the flower until warm (approximately 10-15 seconds). Once warm, gently close the plates and lock them in place. Slowly warming the plant leads to greater, more effective extraction of oils.

Step 5: Allow Rosin to Cool

Before handling the new rosin, remove the parchment paper from the press and allow it to cool completely. Remove the rosin chip from the parchment paper (you’ll recognize it as the flattened material that is leftover). If you’d like to cool the rosin faster, remove something from the freezer (a large bag of frozen vegetables will work) and rest the parchment paper on it. Do not place the rosin in the freezer as it can lead to condensation and introduce unwanted moisture.

Step 6: Collect

Once it has cooled, you can collect the rosin from the parchment paper using a standard rosin tool. We’re big fans of the arrowhead or paddle-shaped tools. Place the parchment paper on a silicone mat on your countertop, and using gentle, light strokes, collecting the rosin on the end of the tool. For best results, lightly roll your rosin tool around the oil and avoid scraping or digging.

How to rosin press flower?

Gather 1 to 1.5 grams of flower and use a pollen press to lightly pre-puck. If you have not yet determined the best heat and time for pressing, 220 degrees Fahrenheit for 60 to 90 seconds is generally a good setting, though your material may like longer or shorter time periods.

How to rosin press shake?

Place material in a filter bag before pressing. Once you have it in parchment paper and between the plates, raise the plates slightly. You’ll know you have it right if locking the handle into a downward position feels effortless.

Why should I pre-press my material?

Pre-pressing refers to that 10 to 15 second period during which you allowed the upper plate to apply weight to warm the flower. It’s important because slowly warming the plant produces more effective extraction.

What pressure to press rosin?

Our press is factory calibrated for 1 to 1.5 grams of material. It’s easy to distinguish when you have perfect pressure. If you can lock the handle of your unit down satisfactorily, and without resistance, the pressure is correctly set. Further, the amount of threading visible above the Pressure Adjusting Nut (the nut you can see over the top plate) should be 1/3rd of an inch or less. Increasing your pressure does not increase your yields as effectively as fine-tuning your temperature and time will.

    Worth it!

  2. James

I have wanted a rosin press for some time but been hesitant. I’ve been shopping around and doing research, I wanted to find the best press available. I ran into the My Press guy at a convention. He showed me his product and it blew my mind. The return from the press was amazing and it was effortless to initiate the press and it is about the size of a coffee maker. Needless to say I bought one and use it daily and love it more every day. If you are interested in solventless rosin press I would recommend My Press, You won’t find anything better.

  3. SD

    A must have for dabbers!

  4. RR

I’ve had this rosin press about 5 days, and have used it every day since it arrived. I press one gram of flower and get enough concentrate for 2 to 4 dabs (depends on the potency of your flower, and your tolerance level). It arrived within 5 days of purchase (two of those days being a weekend). Setup was as easy as adjusting the pressure plates (very easy, and they include a small wrench for that), plugging it in, adjusting the temp, forming the material into a disk (with a pollen press), and then pressing. Recommend you get the pollen press when you purchase the rosin press. The Raw parchment works well, but parchment from the supermarket is good too (I’ve used both, and the supermarket parchment worked better for me, because I can cut it to the size like).

The press is mega easy to use. However, I recommend watching the company videos on YouTube. The videos are about 1 to 3 minutes, and show how to shape the flower into a tight puck for pressing, how to prepare the parchment “press sack”, how to use of the press, and how to collect the rosin after it’s pressed. (Pro tip: let the pressed rosin rest for a few minutes after pressing, and then allow the collected rosin to “cool” for a half hour, or so, prior to dabbing)

It’s a solid, well thought out, easy to use piece of equipment. Small enough to fit on my office desk (along with computer, etc). So, I can use it easily and conveniently whenever I feel like. No more driving to the pot shop to buy concentrates. I grow my own flower, and now I can press my own concentrate. Saving lots of cash … Get one! Don’t let the price (which is actually a bargain) scare you away. It will pay for itself very quickly …

  5. Doc

outstanding right out of the box. disibility with back so i needed somthing ez. if you arelooking for a manual press this is it.let the rosin flow.

  6. Mike P

Takes some time to understand, bit of a learning curve but once you’re up, you’re good. The guys at mypress will take the time to help if you call them. I’m very happy with my machine and look forward to seeing what comes from them next.

  7. Frodo

I bought one of these presses from the manufacturer and I love it! I also use it to press keif. Two-three grams of kief works best, it will give you over 50% return. Just press the kief into a disk and place into a screen bag. Use a small screen bag or cut down a large bag and fold the ends under so it’s closed, place in the parchment pouch and press away. Delicious, high-quality rosin!

  8. Zashton S.

    Perfect press.

  9. Moko

  12. Christopher

Worth every penny. great returns, love the timer and ease of use
Do not force shut. Closes with 6 tons of pressure with ease

  13. Dr.Green

Absolutely love Mypress! It’s super simple to press your own buds and return 20-25+% yields. I’m not sure anyone needs a 20 ton press unless they are doing very large batches. This is perfect for the home enthusiast who wants 1 gram of solventless within 10 mins of pressing.

  14. iLLbiLL

Great right out of the box. Excellent product. Easy to use. A must own for dabbers. About the size of a coffee maker.

  15. Willow

Bought my press just shy of 4 months ago. Love what this press can do and how easy it is to use. Can’t be more happy with a company. This product isn’t cheap, so when you invest in there product just know your going to be taken care down the road.

  16. Thom

This is an awesome product folks. It’s worth every penny. The controls are tight. The timer holds the pressing time of the cycle, this helps with optimizing the process. The platens are perfect size for a pressed puck of material. My yields have been in the 20% range. Good design and manufacturing of this product.

  17. Singer

Press came promptly and in great condition. Works perfectly and consistently. I’ve used it heavily already and am very happy with the capabilities of this press. I would highly recommend this product.

  18. Mike

💗 mine. If you’re thinking about getting one, Do it!

  19. Lou Ann

Phenomenal way to get extracts using a solventless extraction and very easy to operate. It just pops into place and watch and wait. Pre pressing seemed to really help the yields when squishing raw. I prefer more terpines over yields in my rosin. So I was playing with temperatures a little bit. Seems to do great at 180°f – 210°f. Always looking forward to pull out the press and squish something new. Super compact and easy to store away. I’ve always preferred a healthy way to do things. I see rosin as a more natural and healthy form of concentrate and am very happy to have purchased the My Press.

  20. Caleb

Product is amazing! It gets utilized daily with results based on the product utilized. I maintain a constant on my end by keeping the same time, temp, and pressure with varied results.

  21. SK

I’ve had my press for about ten days and have really loved it so far! Discovering the effects of experimenting with different times and temperatures has been fascinating, and I’ve been very pleased with the results to date. The press is compact enough to fit easily on my already crowded kitchen counter and is lightweight enough to move easily. Despite its small size, the press seems very sturdy. The plates have a wide temperature range, making it easy to press and re-press a variety of starting materials. It is recommended that one press 1.0-1.5g of material at a time. Plate temperature can be kept very low, which results in a terpene-rich rosin. In addition to loving my press, I also have the utmost confidence in the team behind the product. I am not in any way affiliated with the company but have had the pleasure of speaking with a member of the team twice. From those conversations, it’s clear that the team is available to answer customer questions, possesses a tremendous amount of technical knowledge, and has dedicated itself to designing and building an excellent personal rosin press from the ground up. I highly recommend this product!

  22. Athulu

Amazing quality; much smaller than I was expecting so it’s EXTREMELY portable. I love how it’s ready right out of the box, and with enough knowledge this is a game changer.

  23. Kevin

I’ve reached out to Mypress on a holiday weekend and they answered my calls on a Saturday and a Sunday. They were very informative they knew their product, and they assured me that they would help with repairs if something broke even if it was after the discouraging three month warranty. When I dug a little deeper I found two reviews were they could attest to Mypress doing just that. One reviewer had something go out after the warranty and Mypress paid for shipping to and from Hawaii and gave them a new unit. That testimony and the fact that if I didn’t like it I had a month to return to Amazon led to the purchase of the highly rated Mypress on Amazon. When I receive my unit I plugged it in immediately and waited for the recommended 6 to 12 minute heat up time (The factory suggested to wait that long with the plates closed). I loved the effortlessness of this press, it also had an awesome count up feature that really takes the stress out of having something to keep your time with. From hair straightener to the Mypress I was blown away. I literally had to use no effort, but I did notice I was unable to get any return from second press. With the gorilla glue we had we were able to max out at 22% return. With the other strands we tested the yields were between 15-20% returns. This Press is not designed for you to have to lean all your weight on it to get it closed but you can feel it is tight and snug. This press was small enough to fit on your countertop and I wouldn’t know what it was just by looking at it. Pros Customer service Count up timer as soon as the plates close Ease of use little to no effort to close Small lightweight and discreet Nice yields from small amounts Cons Could not get any yield from a second press Can only squeeze .5 to 1.5 at a time less

Great solution for home press system. Very repeatable and accurate process, yield rate is consistent. You get a nice clean rosin product within 2 minutes! Easy cleanup and virtually no maintenance. Highly recommend over nugsmasher because this press is super simple and uses mechanical pressure vs a fragile hydraulic system like other presses use.

I got this machine after doing a ton of research for my partner. He’s been sick for a long time and I wanted to make sure i could get something to help him. After I got it i followed up with the guys at My Press and got a man on the phone right away who walked me through all the steps (we’re both new to this, so i really appreciated his help).

  49. Paul E.

So, we always have to give extra kudos to those who are bald enough to think and go ahead creating an Engineering device like this. From the guys from Arizer in Canada, to the Mypress Solventless people, I’d always rather go for these cats, they are in the “making a good product and getting revenues from it” business (that’s entrepreneurship) rather than a “making money business” my deepest respect. Since live abroad, it’s always risky to get something expensive, that you need to pay taxes (30% extra) and having to deal with any issue it may arise. But this wasn’t the experience, quite the opposite, it all went over quite smoothly, it arrive a week after purchase, and the very same day I tried it out.

It came nicely and tight packed, just one rubber feet was lose, but fixed immediately. Unit was also bit tight in terms of calibration, so I released with the tool until getting the “one finger lock” . It took minutes to do all of this. Then, the heating time and voilá, pressing and getting nice results, really happy with it. I ‘m getting into into 104Cº (we are used to Celcius here, it’s like 63572 Fahrenheit or something like that) during 80 seconds to be a good setting.

So in sum, I’m quite happy with it, and here is a bit of an anecdote. The very day after it was shipped I walked into my local growshop to buy items (nail, torch, parchment paper) and there was a local-made press for sale, at exactly the same price I paid for this unit. It had two heated plates a bit bigger than Mypress, screen for Tº, and it was somewhat a “pumping mechanism” to press. I guess, hydraulic. It claimed it had 4 tons of pressure. So far so good, but it was twice as big as the Mypress! but the weight (im not quite strong due to health conditions) was absurd!! it weighed nearly 20kg (thats’ like 673568339823 pounds for you in the US lol) even a bigger/stronger guy I asked to pick it up and he had a hard time. Plus the manufacturer recommended to bolt the unit to a well fitted table. :/

What I mean is, no matter if it costed the same and I would avoid having to use a power converter for my country, plus avoiding the risk of an intl’ shipment, plus warranty and so on… I would go for the Mypress any day. The space you save, portability, weight, easy of use and results are totally worth it. Plus I’m confident that on the other side I’ll get an awesome customer service even if I’m abroad.

Go get yours, you don’t need to pay extra bucks to get something bigger than this unless you’re looking for mass production. But for your household and being as practical as it can be, this is a way better choice. Gettidone.

  50. HF MC

A great purchase, I love mine and tell everyone I meet about them. Discrete and very effecient!

  51. Michael O.

This press is top notch for personal use!! It took me a couple of tries to dial in the heat and pressure, but if you prepare by watching moustache dabs’ videos on how to calibrate it you will get GREAT RESULTS! Also in my experience calibration depends on the density of material you are using, so I keep records on paper to make sure that I get the best yields! ALSO, I get best results when I fold the parchment paper like they recommend. Like a pouch. Awesome Awesome press! Highly recommend purchase!!

  52. Abrum

No wax paper just parchment! Very pleased.

  53. sara ameigh

I was looking for something for personal use and this is perfect. It’s intended to press 1 – 1.5 grams at a time; that means your only getting like .2 grams of output. But Rosin is best used within 72 hours so that’s pretty good even thought I’d like to fill up my jar. Tried 2.5 grams but rosin output decreased greatly. You do want to press the handle down hard to get more pressure in my opinion.

  54. Tommy Salvador

The fastest easiest way to produce rosin! Love it

  55. Greg

    Works good and fast shipping.

This little unit is a great tool for extracting resin from your plants.
I have found it an accurate way to dose your medicine. With this unit you can get repeatable results, and the ability to tweak factors like temp and time to increase yields.

  57. James Horne

I absolutely love this product. It’s the easiest, most convenient, user friendly piece of equipment for rosin extraction that I’ve ever used. Also, excellent support and customer service comes in the box along with the press. If you are debating on making a purchase, stop it. Buy this product. You will NOT regret it. Promise. They WILL receive a Christmas card from me this year! You guys at Mypress rock! Thanks again so much!

  59. Ken Robinson

The press is user friendly with a fast warm up time. The instruction are short and easy to understand and use. The only improvement would be more temperature settings.

  60. P.S.

New machine is great and would highly recommend to anyone looking for starter machine. One thing I would say about the operation, is to make sure the screw is set properly for the amount you are pressing, it makes a huge difference. Make sure it is tight, but not to the point of being too hard to close. Typically I will press a solid 1.5g nug and that seems to be the sweet spot, but again make sure the adjustment nut is right and you won’t have to worry about anything else. Was consistently pulling 20% with some VERY average material. Probably the best feature is the automatic timer, I have used other (more expensive) machines where you would need to set it every. single. time. manually. Big pain in the ass. You can literally just set it and forget it and do nothing with this machine for every press. Huge time saver.

  61. Bill

This is a great press and perfectly fit our needs.

My wife suffers from osteoporosis and has had more than 20 kyphoplasty procedures. She had used prescription opioids for about 5 years. When she attained her medical marijuana card her doctor renewed her prescription for only enough to wean her off of them in a month. During that month she had a kyphoplasty scheduled which is a difficult painful recovery for a week or more.

When we received the press the action was stiff and I called and was led through adjusting the machine. I enjoyed the guy that walked me though it and he invited me to call back with any questions or if I just needed help figuring out how to make the most of it.

My wife made it through the recovery while going through the withdrawal from the opioids. I have been around marijuana since the late 1960s and would never have guessed it could help handle pain as well as it did with the help of the Press.

We have used it for nearly 6 months regularly and it works as well new. You have a great product.

  62. Ken Bowen

It will all depend on the product you start with, but this will extract tasty concentrate which preserves terpines without added chemicals like butane. It ain’t cheap, but consider that the leftover puck has lots of potency left. Whack it up and you have another form of smoking material altogether. The initial result is sublime.
    Buy one.

  63. Eric H

Works great. It is unobtrusive and doesn’t take up much space. I didn’t want a heavy press that looks like it belongs in a garage. This little press looks good, functions well and is lightweight and easy to move around. I have been enjoying pressing my own rosin and the results are really good. The 220 heat default works well for me, although I may experiment more with different temperatures in the future. I’m pretty much a beginner at this but have learned a few things from my mistakes. I have heeded what I read here about not tightening the pressure on the plates beyond a firm lock down with the handle. This press is lightweight and I can kind of guess that there is a breaking point if one pushes the pressure to the max, so I think it’s probably a matter of using common sense when wondering how far I can push it. So far, so good. Another thing is that I thought all parchment paper is pretty much the same so I bought sheets that absorbed rosin to the point of it seeping through to the back of the paper. Lesson learned: Buy the good parchment paper with silicone coating. Another lesson is that flowers should have some moisture content for optimal yield. I don’t grow my own, and the flowers I buy are extremely dry. I found that putting the dry flowers in my humidor for a few days before pressing yields good results. I’m very glad I purchased this press and look forward to using it for years to come.

Works great for small home batches.

MyPress works well pressing 1.5 grams at a time. Straight out of the box, I pressed 8 grams (Quality flower, not ditch weeds) @ 220•F and got 1 gram, 12.5% return. Not the best in the business but the simplicity of the operation makes up for the lacking return. If you grow your own, don’t hesitate, buy now. It’ll pay itself off quick. If you buy grams to press.. it’ll just take a little longer to pay itself off. I say all this with $70 rosin grams at my local dispensary to consider.
Quality Machine and Great Customer Service at a decent price point is what sold me. MyPress won’t leave ya hangin.

I love my new rosin press. It’s very easy to use and it gives you the results!! The only thing I dont like is you have to adjust plates for each smash and the unit is really small. I would buy it again though very handy machine.

This is a great squishier if you’re only squishing a little at a time. It fits the description and Is very easy to use. It heats up accurately and quickly and is really easy to press down. I give this a four star because the Fahrenheit and Celsius button is loose… other than that I’m pretty happy with the product! Will update this review as I continue to use it more!
